Why did we choose it?
- We both wear glasses/contacts and knew we couldn’t carry solution for days on end
- It’s lighter to carry one frame that two so transition lenses seemed like common sense
- These frames take optical lenses and don’t look like awful sports frames so can be worn with street clothes when travelling
- Rubber nose pads to reduce movement when running
Add on the rubber ear pieces for a more secure fit. We bought them at an optometrist in Singapore as they are pretty common there but you can find them online.
We also bought xtra-active transition lenses which are darker than standard transition lenses. Transition lenses don’t go as dark as sunglasses but these ones do, the draw backs are they are slightly more expensive and don’t go completely clear when dark.
Including transition lenses these ended up being ~500NZD, this will vary depending on who you can find to do your lenses.
